Will Player Scholarships be available in 2012?
Yes! Mukilteo Little League is for everyone. We are proud of our ongoing Player Scholarship program that allows every child in our community to come out and get in the game! We are particularly grateful for the generous support of our local community sponsors, whose financial sponsorship allows us to ensure that no child is turned away.
To apply for a Player Scholarship, please download and print the 2012 Player Scholarship Form (coming soon) and bring with your payment to one of our in-person registrations.
Is there a "family maximum" price?
Yes! No family will pay more than $300 in total registration fees. Many of the families in our community have multiple players from the same household, and we want to ensure that all of them have the opportunity to play baseball, softball or tee ball with us!
What happened to the Opt-Out Fee?
Mukilteo Little League has been a volunteer-driven organization for 55 years. We count on parents, grandparents and friends of the league to volunteer and ensure that the league provides the most positive and highest-quality experience for our young players.
In an effort to increase volunteerism, two years ago the league launched a pilot program that offered parents the option to pay a $50 "opt-out" fee if they were unable to volunteer time with their child's team.
The Board of Directors has decided to end the Opt-Out program in 2012.
Registration fees have been re-set accordingly. Our priority is to continue to offer an affordable program for our players and families while maintaining a sustainable budget for the league that secures its financial health and well-being for the future.
We still believe that Mukilteo Little League will only be the best it can be for our kids when all of us give back and participate as best we can. We have a tremendous and generous core of volunteers that makes our program such a positive and successful part of our community-we are grateful that will not changes!
Where do my registration fees go?
Mukilteo Little League is a non-profit, 100% volunteer-driven organization. All revenues are re-invested into our program to improve the high quality of what we offer our players, families and community. Visit our League Operations FAQ page for a basic breakdown of how registration fees fit in to the league's overall annual budget.
