Dear Mukilteo Little League Families,
We know that 2020 has been a tough year and we’re disappointed that we didn’t get to have a 2020 season. We were fortunate that some of you were able to practice and scrimmage during the late spring and summer. Thank you to all the families who donated all or a portion of their 2020 registration fees to help keep the league financially solvent! We still have ongoing operational expenses such as field maintenance and insurance, and thanks to the community’s support we’re in solid financial shape as we head into 2021.
The Board of Directors is committed to and planning for a 2021 baseball and softball season; however, we are holding off on registration until we see what the new year brings. We will continue to follow state and local guidelines for youth sports. Once we get more clarity from the state and Snohomish County, and can see a path forward for a season, we will open registration. When we reach that point, although the registration timelines may be shortened, there will be plenty of time to register and get kids ready to play ball. It is very likely that our season won’t start until later than normal.
Please note that in 2021 we will be upgrading our registration system with Stack Sports. The registration system will have a new look and feel but will function the same as our old system. More information will be forthcoming once we’re ready to go live with registration.
Look for monthly updates from the league starting in January. In the meantime, we hope you all are able to stay safe and continue to come together as a community to endure the pandemic and look out for one another.
