Open Board Positions 2024-2025

The Mukilteo Little League is looking for new board members to fill important roles for the 2024-2025 Little League season. Mukilteo Little League is a 100% volunteer organization, and we rely on a lot of people to make this a wonderful experience for our community.

The following positions need to be filled:

Schedules board meetings which includes finding and securing venues and notifying board members. Takes minutes at board meetings. Organizes annual meeting. Separate vice presidents may also be selected to oversee individual divisions within the league. If so, one vice president should be selected as the one to preside in the absence of the president. A vice president may manage, coach or umpire, provided they do not serve on the protest committee. Recruits coaches and makes recommendations for slate of coaches to President for board approval. Serves as liaison between division coaches and board.

Volunteer Coordinator – Serves as the contact person for the league's volunteering opportunities; issues field credentials/ID badges for all registered board members, officers, managers, coaches, umpires, and other volunteers who have completed background checks; and provides information and guidance as needed to league volunteers.

Facilities Manager - Oversee MLL facilities at Paine Field Park including the Snack Shack building, field maintenance contract, and capital improvement projects. Note: It has been many years since MLL has had a Facilities Manager. We would like to find someone who is willing to serve as project manager for the purchase and installation of lights on the softball field.

We need new board members to carry on the tradition of little league in the Mukilteo community. We serve 500-600 children each year, and this cannot be accomplished by just a few people. We have a large board that works very well together to ensure we have a well-organized and well-run program. We are not just here to teach baseball fundamentals; we are here to raise young adults to be team players and good sportsmen, have fun, make friends for life, and experience a sense of community. This requires volunteers who want to make a difference and show the children that baseball and softball is also about a community, the Mukilteo School District Community. We have an exciting year planned and ask that you consider giving of your time and energy to help our community organization be the best it can be. Your contributions and talents are greatly needed and the satisfaction you receive in return cannot be measured.

If you have interest in joining or learning more about the open board positions, please come to one of our board meetings or contact the MLL President Ed Hansen at [email protected].
